About Better Standards Club

The project

Better Standards Club is a project by and for humans who got tired of the way too many digital products and services are designed. It's for people and organizations that believe in creating better digital products and services by designing sustainable ecosystems of inclusion.

Our manifesto

Design is powerful

A designer is anyone who is in the position to make choices about what products, services or systems to create, how they are presented, and how they function. Whether they are aware of it or not, their work reflects and influences the social norms and power structures in society. Design can reinforce the status quo, or contribute to social change.

We can do better

The frameworks and approaches broadly in use are dysfunctional.

In order to lead more responsibly, and create consequence-aware solutions, we have to be radically open to changing how we create digital experiences.

Knowledge changes behavior

We believe that access to knowledge and knowledge-sharing spaces is key in enabling the shift in mindset required to practice inclusive design and move towards more ethical and just approaches to doing business in the digital space.

Work is personal

We work with people who share our values.

We help organizations who are actually ready to raise their standards and set their egos aside to finally make inclusion an integral and intentional part of how they work and what they work on.
